These three pictures cleary depict the location of the sun, and therefore the time of day. The shot of coffe was taked around 7:30 am. The light was at its "softest" then, and the shadow is pointing to where the sun will set. the milk shot is at noon. I the sun is right over head at displaces a harsher light and a very small shadow around the glass. The third shot, "beer thirty," was taken around 7pm. The shadow is long and points east. The light at night is different from light in the morning. It doesn't have that soft yellow glow. It has more if a greyish dark glow to it.
